This photo was taken at Manila Heroes Park located in front of the Manila City Hall. This park serves as a little oasis in the center the busy, noisy, but colorful concrete jungle of Manila. One of the 2 statues in this area is the statue of General Emilio Jacinto. Despite his young age of just 21, Jacinto became a general in the Philippine Revolutionary Army, taking an active role in the fight against the Spain that colonized the Philippine islands for more than 300 years. 🇵🇭 So if you come and visit this place, feel free to check out Jacinto's statue. Barbara's Heritage Restaurant This restaurant used to have a dinner buffet and cultural show that showcases the ethnic dances of the Philippines. If you checkout the photos of this restaurant on Google, you'll see that it is a themed restaurant quaint old-world ambiance reminiscent of the Spanish colonial era in the old city of Intramuros. I did not win a ticket for #5sos’ #WakeUpInManila and even living in a province far away from the metro. No chance to meet them. Hope they’ll come back.
