I downloaded this as iTunes single of the week a while ago and I've been giving it a listen of the last few days and I really like it. It's not groundbreaking, nor is it revolutionary but it's catchy - an infectious ear worm this certainly is. FFO: Making walking to boring places sound climactic and epically cinematic. Während ihr Song "Blood" bereits seit 2012 durch das WWW wabert ist es nun endlich soweit das Patterns ihr Longplayer-Debüt "Waking Lines" raushauen. Oben der erste Song auf dem Album, "This Haze"
Die Jungs aus Manchester wissen gekonnt ihren Synthy-Sound und die teilweise gewollt schwammig diesigen Vocals gut in unseren Gehörgang dahin gleiten zu lassen. Frontmann Ciaran erklärte dem NME das ihre Musik wie "those weird dreams that feel familiar but alien at the same time," klingt.
Vom Sound her zu Vergleichen mit einer Mischung aus den Cocteau Twins, Youth Lagoon und Animal Collecitve. Gut für spätabendliche Halluzinationen oder um sich einfach mal weg zu träumen.
