Then come, follow me.” When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy. 24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! 25 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” - Luke 18:18-27 (NIV) Two Things that Hinder Man to Salvation: #1 His Good Works + For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV) #2 His Treasures + Greatest hinder for a man to enter the heaven. + Susubukan ka ni Lord kung hanggang saan ka willing sumunod. + Ano ang mas mahalaga sa'yo, si Lord o ang personal desires mo? + The man gave more importance to his treasures more than his soul. + Kayang palitan ni Lord ang pinapagive-up niya sa'yo. #IsukoMoNaYan + He was more concern for himself than other people. + Todo ang utos ni Lord kasi todo din ang bigay niya sa atin. + Pwede ang iniingatan mo ang magpahamak sa'yo. + Impossible? Not with God! +Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” - Luke 18:27 + Kayang gawan ni Lord ng paraan yung mga bagay na nahihirapan ka. + Gagawa siya ng paraan para makasunod ka sa kanya. #WalangImposible + Mangyayari ang kalooban ni Lord sa buhay mo. + Perhaps, God will do something like. . . * Job - (Job 1-2) * Jonah - (Jonah 1:1-15) * Nebuchadnezzar - (Daniel 4:29-37) + Ikaw: "Sige na Lord, susunod na ako sa'yo." + Ang mga ayaw sumunod, nagdadahilan. + Kung gusto ka ni Lord gamitin sa kanyang kaharian, kailangan walang hadlang o sagabal ang paglapit sa kanya. + At kung sinasabi mo maraming hadlang sa paglapit mo kay Lord, kaya niyang tanggalin ang mga iyan.

THE PSALMIST: "WALANG IMPOSIBLE" ALBUM REVIEW :)

******DISCLAIMER: THIS IS JUST MY OWN HUMBLE REVIEW. THE OBSERVATIONS AND OPINIONS ARTICULATED HERE ARE SIMPLY MY OWN. THIS IS JUST SIMPLY ME. *******

The Psalmist dishes out with another brand new album titled "WALANG IMPOSIBLE " . Comparing with the other previous albums, this new 13-track album is very much different: it is much more exciting, it has much more novel ideas and concepts... and no doubt about it. Thank God for the life of Ptr. Bhoyet Dionisio for being blessed with tremendous musical ingenuity. `Yung aesthetics sa music. "Astig talaga si Direk." The way he wrote a song was very obvious that it was straight from the heart that any listener will feel it, can relate to, can connect with, and can sing along with it. "Mapapa-praise and worship ka talaga!" Sound, musicality and technicality-wise, this time, it was recorded very well, the sound itself is fantastic, crisp, detailed and brighter." Ang galing knowing that it was recorded and done in a home studio and the fact that it was self-produced, was indeed superb." What really caught my attention are the groove and the bass lines. I was blown away by it (iba this time, believe me). likewise, the approach and the arrangements and the way it was produced. Now, let's go through the tracks: 

PASALAMATAN SYA- This song is so psalmist. "Signature arrangement ika nga. Intro pa lang alam mo na." Its lyrics is well laid down on a very thanksgiving-celebrating mood. "yung tipong mapapaawit ka talaga at magpapasalamat ka sa kabutihan ng Diyos. Mismo!" With the chorus saying: "Magpasalamat at mag-alay ng awit. Ipagdiwang ang pag-ibig Nya, umindak sumayaw para sa Kanya. Umawit ng papuri, Pasalamatan Siya."

SI KRISTO AY BUHAY- Something new from Psalmist to look forward to. The intro is exciting down to the verse. "The first time I listened to this song na excite ako... kasi I was anticipating what's next." Then just like what I am expecting, the refrain and the chorus drove me to dance and sway my head. The bass lines, everything.. well done. "Promise anyone can get along and mapapasayaw talaga." And the chorus goes like: "...Si Kristo ay buhay, si Kristo ay buhay. Ating ipagsigawan sa mundo si Kristo ay buhay."

PINAGPALA- Again something new from Psalmist to look forward to. Very catchy. The approach has a very familiar manila 70's sound, again the basslines,the groove, the guitar riffs, the cool trumphets, the mood, the transpose, the "bagsakan".. everything was superb! Note to my self: i need to learn this one. "BABALA: Huwag magulat kung hindi mo mapigilan sumayaw at magpuri sa kantang ito." Oops! I forgot to mentiontha LSS Lines: "Pinagpala! ang buhay ko ay pinagpala! Ang buhay ko ay paganda ng paganda. Pagkat si Hesus ay kasama."

PAG-IBIG MO- Haaay... I've been carried away: the melody, the calmness, the lyrics. It really broke me to tears...the acoustic guitar instrumental splendid. With these lines: "Pag-ibig Mo'y dakila. Pag-ibig Mo'y hindi nagmamaliw, hindi nagbabago kahit magkulang ako...Ganyan ang pag-ibig Mo." Anyone can feel being loved.

MAHAL NA MAHAL KITA- Very light, very calm with powerful lyrics. "Mahal na mahal.. mahal na mahal Kita. Habang panahon ay maglilingkod sa 'Yo..." Do hear and feel it for yourself. Interesting part here which is something new is the "drowning melodic saxophone lines". "Swabe sa pandinig."

MAGHARI KA- The stillness of the song prevails, the progression goes on and on. "Maganda yung pagkakalatag ng lyrics, yung takbuhan ng chords." impressive. I like the "fretless bass lines in the chorus. Malalim." And again, yung "drowning melodic saxophone lines." It says in the chorus.."Manahan Ka, Maghari Ka. Sundin ang kalooban Mo. Puso ay baguhin Mo." Sweet!

BUHAY NA GANAP- Very flashy ang dance groove. "Tugish, Takish! Tugish, Takish!"  "Sarap magpuri". "Sarap umindak." Reminding us that God love us! "Ito ang nais Nya, para sa akin at sa yo. Dahil mahal na mahal tayo ng Panginoon." Yeah!

WALANG IMPOSIBLE- Surprisingly! It was with "walang imposible, walang imposible sa Yo!" Acapella intro, my volume was up so nagulat ako. It was nice though. A driving running arrangement. Cool. Crisp ang drums. I also like the "bagsakan." Meaningful lyrics. Reminding us that"walang imposible, walang imposible sa Yo!"

  KAPAG KASAMA KA- Here we go again with the "drowning melodic saxophone lines and guitar riffs."Segued by sweet vocal melody that captures you. Very sincere. "Ang gaan sa tenga. Parang pang youth-oriented show yung datingan nya." Sweet. Sarap kantahin para sa Lord. Punong-puno ng appreciation. Sweet. and again.. Sweet. "Ang kailangan ko sa buhay ko ay Ikaw lamang.."

SA PRESENSYA MO- Very powerful. Impressive. The music, the lyrics, everything. Internalize it.."Mananatili lagi sa presensiya Mo."

SA PUSO KO- The way it was composed, arranged and produced was very sophisticated. Uplifting. Pitchy in a sense na you can sing along with it. Splendid. Digest it.. "Itataas ang ngalan Mo, ibibigay lamang sa Yo ang aking pagsamba hindi magmamaliw. Isisigaw sa buong mundo, ang kaligtasang dulot Mo. Hindi magsasawa pupurihin Ka oh Diyos."

LUWALHATIIN KA - Obviously, there are some changes and some new offers with this song. Compared to its previous version, this time they gave more attention to every detail of the song. They cut some verses and add some on its music arrangement and vocal and melody parts. Ika nga Much Improved. Well done. Superb.

DAHIL SA'YO- Playful approach. I love the intro: very bubbly and light. Good Vibes. You can get along with those bass lines and melody. The lyrics is catchy. "happy lang talaga." It will cheer you up. Sing with it. "Dahil sa Yo ang lahat ng ito. Hindi nagmamaliw, hindi nagbabago Ikaw lamang ang ligaya ko."

For me, all the songs here can be your soundtrack for the whole day. It will set your mood in praising and worshiping. From the very time that you wake up, preparing for something, going to school or work, doing your daily errands or just doing your devotion they're all here. You can easily get along with it. "Maganda itong album na ito." Everything was laid very remarkably to suit everyone's eardrums. The music, the message will get across anyone. They can feel it.

Praise God for this wonderful album. I know "maraming mabi-bless, maraming masisiyahan at maraming mamomotivate na magpuri at magpasalamat sa Panginoon." For me, from a scale of 1 to 10 lemons. This album is so deserving of 10 fantastic lemons.:)  No stir! Just pure Love and Honesty.
