greetings, ya’ll! so i have mosied back over here to see what i need to do about reopening. so here are just a few notes about that:

first off, lizzy and i decided that the first murder was actually mason and cameron pendleton’s father. we wanted that murder tied to the townspeople this roleplay covers instead of being just a random townsperson. so i changed it in the event description and cameron actually came back to help investigate his father’s murder. so i don’t know if that changes anything but it’s info you needed, haha.

second, i have the list finished of all the new characters. they are all ready, they just need to be added to the site. but, here’s the problem, they go with event three but we never really finished event two?? event three needs an accusation before it can start. so do we want to start up and get things rolling again and start some ic and stuff so we can do a bit in event two before we move on to three?? here’s the link to the event two description, if you need it. nothing really huge happens so it’s not a huge deal (except it does have an accusation??? i think it’s actually the same one from event three but i’ll have to check). i just don’t really know if we’ve done enough for anyone to make accusations yet is the only thing?? so please weigh in on this?

also, i will continue to take madeup out of towners throughout the course of the roleplay. so if you have any of those, give me a portrayal and a little description and i’ll add them for you. and some events will also bring groups of new characters. basically, there will continue to be new characters added throughout the course of the roleplay. so there will be other options coming if anyone wants to pick up new/more characters. but i still have two open from my original set if anyone wants them. (and i do allow portrayal changes!)

and if you have any sites that haven’t been set up, please do so! (again, mOSTLY FOR ME BECAUSE I’M SO SLOW. WOW.) and i’ll post another follow list after this for sites that have appeared but i’m a genius and never posted. oops.

so i think that’s basically it?? i’ll do another update when i hear from ya’ll about how we should move on and set an official reopening date. thanks!

-- EVENT TWO / BEGINNING FRI OCT 3.

Honoria Jacobs wakes up to an empty bed. She leaves the house, searching for her husband. Out back, she discovers him tied to a tree, his throat slit from ear to ear. Her scream rouses the neighbors.

It’s the second murder in two weeks. In a town like Walcott where murders are not frequent, it’s terrifying.

The town council is called to session that day and the Turners are finally given their audience. It’s the first time witches are mentioned. Jane Turner insists that these murders could not have come from any natural cause. It must be the supernatural causes. The council is spooked by this notion and refuse to entertain the thought. Obviously Peter will handle this. He is the sheriff, after all.

During this time, many have filtered into Walcott including Robbie Harris. Her home now filled once more, May is forced to tell the Coven they must meet elsewhere. They decide to meet outside though only a few members show (or perhaps the coven only currently includes Julia, Jake, Maddie & May? Thoughts my coven members?). Their meeting is short and accomplishes little but it is overseen by someone in town.

An anonymous letter is found in Honoria’s mailbox which she then brings before the council. It details a meeting in the woods though names are not mentioned. But the intent of the letter is clear: witches are in our midst and we should seek them.

The council meets to discuss this letter and considers sending a patrol into the woods but in the end this idea is scrapped. The council begins to form two solid groups: those for the witch hunt and those against. As it stands, those against seem to be currently in control.

Thus, Jane and Ryan Turner believe it might be time to call in reinforcements. So they begin making calls. (Note, although they begin calling the Witch Hunters at the end of this event, they won’t show up until event three.)

After the letter and the council’s decision to not pursue the matter (which is covered by Sandie Page), the council receives another anonymous tip. This time an accusation. It simply reads “[redacted] is a witch.”

And then the fight really begins.

-- OUR CURRENT TIMELINE / SEPT 30.

okay so now that the events are up, i’ll tell you where we are with them. we have been in the first event right now so getting everything set up. and now that most of us are cooking along with that (again, sorry i’m slow!) let’s go ahead and move on to event two.

i’ll go ahead and post a more detailed account after i post this so you’ll have a better idea of what exactly that event entails. but basically that event will “officially” start on friday. henry jacobs will be murdered then and then event two will continue until just before halloween. i’ll post the details for that event when it gets a little closer.

but for now i’ll just give you a rundown of what’s happening in walcott as it is now:

william pendleton has been murdered. it’s the first murder the town has seen, probably ever. and no one quite knows what to do about it. so everyone is probably already talking about it. there is certainly some speculation about what might have happened. but most haven’t a clue. and it scares them.

the turners returned to walcott the day after the murder, demanding an audience with the council. they were denied. the out of town people have slowly start filtering into town. witches aren’t really talked about yet. there might be whispers but it’s not really an issue yet. the college coven continues as usual, still meeting in may harris’s otherwise empty house.

as of yet, the turner witch hunters have neither been notified nor have they arrived. but they will receive the call soon. and then they’ll be on their way.

-- JUST A FEW NOTES / SEPT 30.

i’m going to go ahead and post a list of all the events just so you know what is coming. but there won’t be a set time period for any of them unless otherwise specified. and the only event to really concern yourselves with right now will be events one and two. so i might post them separately and go into more detail just so you know what’s coming.

i also had an idea for about twenty more characters to add so they’re on their way. i’m still working up my list but if there’s anyone you want on it (portrayal wise) just let me know.

i still have five open characters (of my original set) if anyone is interested and i will take made up out of towners throughout the course of the roleplay. so if you’re interested in that, just let me know the portrayal you would like and any information about them you have in mind and i’ll add them. and if you want them to be somehow connected to the town or someone in the town, that’s cool too. just let me know and i’ll figure out a way to encorporate them.

also, our first major event will be happening around halloween. so if you have any sites that you haven’t set up, please do so before halloween. (this note is mostly just for me sO I GET IT TOGETHER AND SET UP THE REST OF MY PEEPS. WOW TINA. WAY TO BE SLOW. *slaps own hand*)
