8/31 in the month of songs... I love The Beastie Boys. MCA's death hit me hard. Really hard. I grew up with them... they're all right around my age. They were consummate musicians. They were thoughtful. I still listen to them all the time, but it makes me sad that there will never be another new Beastie Boy album ever again.

7/31 in the month of songs... Isobel by Björk - This is the song that made me fall in love with Björk. The darkness, the drama, the intensity, the way it goes from quiet and pretty to loud and chaotic and back again. She's amazing and I think that this is my favourite song of hers.

6/31 in the month of songs... Tomorrow by Thievery Corporation. I love this song because it's peaceful and hopeful. It's just telling you to relax and not worry about everything that's hanging on you right this second. Just let it go and "Remember there's always tomorrow." It's hope for the very near and immediate future.
