honestly sharon is just very cynical and very jaded. she’s not one to outwardly trust others and that’s part of why she plays off optimistic characters so well. she’s a pretty guarded person and she isn’t afraid to be aggressive or loud. i think around certain ppl she considers a friend she can let that guard down and when she cares about someone, she gives them her all. that’s why she does trivia nights with bobbi and nat (and lbr is probably super competitive about it).
with someone she loves she’s loyal as hell. she literally put her job and her life on the line for steve. and to save him from the heartache of knowing he killed someone, she took the shot. she’s such a cynic and she honestly sees herself as damaged as is but with people like steve, who are to her a beacon of hope, she’ll throw herself on the line to preserve that. good, hopeful people really bring out that side in her and melt her edges away. it’s mostly because sharon’s been through so much that she wants to be reminded that she’s loved and that good people are still out there.
she’s really “fuck it” about most things and is the embodiment of that “says she doesn’t care but cares very very deeply.” she just has to know sb is safe and that she is safe w/ them in order to let her guard down because she’s terrified of getting hurt again.
