“Hey..”

Rick said as he came up to the porch and sat beside the tracker. He sighed as he finally got to get off his feet. The day had been pretty eventful. They had half the metal decoy wall up. Tomorrow they would hopefully get the rest done. A lot had happened the past few days. His fight with Pete, shooting Pete at the meeting, and not to mention finding that huge hoard. Rick was sure they could do this, but these new people had a lot to learn with not much time to do so. It was starting to weigh on him, but he held it all together pretty well. At least he though he did.

“So what do you think about this plan? I know we can get it done, but do you really think these other guys can? Do they have what it takes? Guess they kinda have to now…” He questioned Daryl, looking over at him before answering one of his own questions and looking forwards again. Taking a drink out of the water bottle that was in his hand. The sun was setting in front of them. He was sweating quite a bit, his sleeves were rolled up. Georgia summers were too much sometimes. “They’re gonna have to learn or die.. that’s how it is..” Taking another drink he then looked at the other man. His eyes seriously and slightly worried.

“When you go out there.. be careful okay? I don’t wanna lose you guys and there is going to be a lot of ‘em.” He was of course referring to walkers.

Merle leans against the wall, cigarette in hand before taking a slow drag and exhaling. “So, Darylina,” he drawls, “What’s this I hear ‘bout a man?” It’s a little blunt but he has a feeling that Daryl won’t tell him any other way. He’s not sure he wants to know who at this point but he knows something is up with his sibling.
