Turns around, momentarily, muffled curses slipping through parted lips. Matsumoto was his first guess, actually. He did not, however, expect to see Ise Nanao walking away, mumbling something rather incoherent.

"I assume its going to be as late as it usually is. Since your own work is completed, I'm highly suggesting that you take some leisure time and enjoy yourself, Hitsugaya-taichou. At least try." She did care for the young man, if anything it was in a motherly manner.

A time off?

Not happening.

"I may be done here, but there's still work left. Apart from our regular training, the Tenth needs to take care of new recruits today. And our schedule is still not finished." He appreciates the offer, though.

Welp, she tried the more gentle and social approach. Hitsugaya was, if anything, more anti-social than he had been in the past. A sigh of her own passing before she spoke up again. "There's more purpose in me being here, if you've finished your paper work ahead of time for me to take." [Seeing he's an adult, >o> she'd be the Co-Vice-Captain underneath Shun being captain-commander. >v>; ]

Yes, work related visits were easy to manage. Socializing, however, was never his strong suit.

At that, Hitsugaya nodded tersely and slid his gaze onto his desk, filled with carefully organized papers. It lingered there for a moment, as he assessed the condition of his work, before he looked up once again.

"I am finished, yes. But Matsumoto still needs to hand in her reports. These papers are useless without her share."

An inner sigh.

"...Is there something I can help you with?"

A slight arching of white brows and a short moment of hesitation was what Hitsugaya gave in return, before he finally decided to acknowledge her presence.

“Ise.” Her blunt assumption was ignored, of course.

She was a busy woman indeed, but that wasn't going to stop her from stopping by and leaving something for her dear friend to find. A little note for a someone she could consider the sister she always wanted. A box of her favorite chocolates, and a little note. 'We need to have another night over sometime this week, let me know when I can steal you from Ukitake. - Nanao'

Ran thought she felt a familiar reiatsu but it had passed by so fast before she could even make certain. But when she'd opened the door and found a box and the note attached to it she carefully tucked the box under her arm as she read the note, and it was from Nanao. 

After reading it Ran pouted a little, 'Steal me from Ukitake? I haven't even seen him in days but a sleepover does sound like a great idea mmm~' She then smiled wide turning her attention back to the box and opening it to sample of the delectable treats inside.

Ran rolled her eyes at Nanao, why did suddenly want to know that? “A lady never reveals that, and you should know better.” Rangiku sulked with a indignant little pout. Honestly though she wasn’t even quite so sure so how could she tell?

"Whaaaaaaa!" Turns around to find a fleeing Nanao, rubbing her throbbing behind.
