Late post. An under appreciated piece of art😀. I saw this wall sketch in a small Chinese beverage shop in Malacca as I grabbed a bowl of ‘Nyonya Cendol’. Scooping the green jelly I kept staring at it. Whoever did it the shop owner must have the same level of appreciation as me for the ‘artist’, that he/she decided not remove it and made it as part of the ‘wall deco’. I think the sketch is not only cute (like a child drawing) but also has a historical meaning. To me the picture looks like a typical Arab man who wears Khaffiyeh (head scarf). It’s like a reflection of Malacca’s glorious time in the past where the Malay, Arab, Chinese, Indian, Persian traders mingled. #travel #travelogue #malacca #urbanphotography street photography #wallsketch #sketch (at 马六甲鸡场街 文化坊 Jonker Walk Melaka)
