Taste Testing || Platinum & Wally
♔ - } The grand city of Lilycove. Home of the Spectacular Contest Hall, Department Store, museum, and a beautiful beach. The Wingulls were flying high and you could spot the Wailmer and Wailord in the distance, spouting water and creating a sea of fountains.
“Ah! Nothing like smelling the salty air that’s popular here.” The trainer spoke, Lucario at her side as they stood at the edge of the short cliff, the beach below them spanning out till it blended into the water. Platinum stretched her arms up above her head, feeling the breeze of salty air flow past and around her, a large smile spread across her face. She was enjoying the different atmosphere that was different than the atmosphere back in Sinnoh. It wasn’t her first trip here, since many contests were held here and she was often asked to participate. Lucario, while his trainer enjoyed the air, was currently crouched down, looking at the seashells that have somehow landed on the cliff’s edge, fascinated by the different patterns and its overall shape it held. A moment passed before there was a soft growl, causing the Pokemon to bring his paws up to his stomach, ears folding back in embarrassment. Platinum couldn’t help but to laugh at this before bringing her hands to her hips, glancing downward with a grin at her companion.
“It is about time we had some lunch,” she stated, watching the Lucario nod its head slowly in agreement. “Lets head back to the Pokemon Center then and eat there. Hopefully I still have some poffins for a treat afterward.” That last part seem to have excited the Pokemon for he jumped up, giving an approval grunt. Now that food was now on his mind, he decided to get a head start yet making sure to stay close for safety precautions. “Not so fast!” She laughed, trying her best to keep up with the Pokemon. “You won’t get the food faster if you beat me.” - - - ♔ - } At the Pokemon Center, Lucario sat, anxiously waiting for the food to appear before him, as if Platinum would perform a magic trick. The trainer came out from the kitchen (which she had asked ahead of time to borrow), placing a plate of freshly cooked meat in front of her companion and another plate of salad on the other side of the table for herself. “Sadly, I didn’t have anymore poffins, so as soon as we’re done eating, we can bake some more. It will be perfect for the upcoming contest, too.” The trainer sat down, placing a napkin on her lap before eating her food, slowly and in moderate amounts. Lucario followed suit with his steak.
< “Perhaps other trainers will smell the delicious poffins and would want some for themselves or even for their own Pokemon.” > The Lucario spoke into her head using telepathy. The trainer just smiled at his words, nodding lightly.
“I can only hope so, but you know that I will be sure that you and the rest of the team will have plenty till I make more next time. Besides, if I started handing out these treats without a profit, then I’m sure I would have a large line and that will lead to no time with anything else.” This caused the Pokemon to grow quiet, only to receive a nod as a response. “I know, I know. You want to share the goodness of my poffins to the rest of the world.” Platinum chuckled. “And anyways, it’s late in the day and finding potential trainers to have a taste of these poffins will be slim to none right now. Lucario now pouted at his trainer’s words and decided to give the rest of the Pokemon Center a good look around. He could only see a few other trainers within the building, most of them too busy dealing with their own and their Pokemon needs. It was then he spotted a single trainer, deciding to take a chance randomly with them. On a mission now, he leaned over to Platinum’s bag, took out the poffin case and stood up to head on over to where the trainer was.
”Duke? Duke!” Platinum called out before sighing and watching the sight before her till she had to get up to deal with her Pokemon’s random behavior.
< “Hello!” > He started, speaking in their minds just as he did with Platinum’s. There was a friendly smile on his face, his head tilted slightly to the side. < “Pardon me if I am intruding on anything, but I was wondering if you would like to try some of my trainer’s homemade poffins. We were discussing if other trainers and their Pokemon would enjoy a sample as this one, especially around the time when there is a contest. I assure you that they are great and I enjoy them myself, but I want to assure my dear trainer that there would be others that will enjoy them, too.” >
