Where: Bar in Diagon Alley When: Few weeks after Valentine’s Day Who: Mary and Wally @wallywimbles
Mary had not wanted to go out with her friends from work but she had turned them down the past three times and she knew that they were starting to get annoyed with her for always saying no so she had decided to just go for a little while. One of her resolutions for this year was to stop saying no all the time and she had done a spectacularly bad job and it was nearly March. Taking a sip of her drink, she glanced over at the bar where Steph was talking to a guy that looked vaguely familiar but she was having trouble placing him. “Aren’t you glad you came out with us?” Olivia asked over the music. “Yeah! Of course,” Mary replied with a forced smile as Steph came back to their table. “This cute guy was totally just flirting with me,” Steph said as Mary glanced back and caught his face this time, realization that it was Wally hitting her. “He’s totally my fiancé,” Mary told Steph with a laugh and a shake of her head. The other girls promptly freaked out and she had to explain the story before Olivia was pushing her over to talk to him.
She was strangely nervous as she approached him. It had been one thing to pretend to be engaged to get to the front of the line, but to run into him again? Mary felt weird and nervous and she didn’t like the feeling. But when she glanced back at her table her friends had pointed at Wally and refused to let her chicken out. So she had no choice but to approach him as she watched him flirt with another girl at the bar. “Well well well if it isn’t my fiancé flirting with other women,” Mary said, putting a hand on her hip and trying to look mad. “I’m so disappointed.”
