i find myself enjoying writing more than anything when the subject is incomprehensible. walsh holt has the thickest sailor’s drawl i’ve ever heard, and his dialogue is incredible.
"Wha'nn'ae taek out'ch'yer map'n eh'll show ye." "Nae'such luck. Ye'll have'te rest tae old-fashioned way, with'ae campfire an' some rum."
KAT-00, on the other hand, is incomprehensible in a different way. she reacts violently and fractally to thoughts. someone nervous about a wild animal will have her growing more mouths than could fit on her entire body, with more teeth than could fit in them; muscular jaws despite there being no definition between each gaping knife-filled maw. she draws speakers out of flesh and bone, and cameras out of eyes.
incomprehensibility is possibly the most fun i have writing something.
