Task 1: Winter Break Writing Prompt

What did Eden want to do in the New Year? That’s what she was trying to figure out, sitting at her desk with a pen in her hand and her notebook in front of her.

'My new year's resolution is to' she began, writing in neat cursive letters.

She paused, considering her options. There was the traditional ones, eating better and exercising and stuff like that. There was less traditional ones, for her, things like stop studying so much and stop being so uptight.

She had lots of ideas, but none of them seemed quite right. She ended up going with something easy. 

My new year's resolution is to learn to play something other than piano.

There. Simple enough.

New year's resolutions were a bit of a foreign concept to Daniel, who had never made one in his life. It wasn't that he didn't know what it was, it was just that he had never really tried to make one before. 

After five minutes of trying to think of one, he got up and walked away from his desk, off to make himself a cup of tea.

Andrew had never made a New Year's resolution before. He didn't really see the point of it. And having to write one as an assignment was proving very difficult. He sat staring at a blank page for a while.

Even after nearly an hour he never ended up finishing it. All of the ideas in his head seemed like they were too personal to hand in as homework.

Pace leaned back in his chair. "Why do we have to do this? This is stupid" he thought. He sat there and thought about what he wanted to accomplish in this new year

He wrote on his page "My New Years Resolution is to complete more Pranks than I did last year and build up a team..and stop calling them 'Pranks'" he nodded at the words on his page.

Raye entered her dorm room and sat down at her desk. She took one look at the Winter assignment that was given to them. It didn't require any thought for Raye. 

Raye smiled and wrote "My New Years Resolution is to move up Dance levels in Ballet"

Shawn sat in his room starting at his desk, at the paper with the winter assignment. "Resolution?" he thought. "Oh I have the best one"

He wrote on his paper "My New Years Resolution is to write more songs then this previous year." He smiled at what he had written.
