Rosemary Walten is like if you took Wendy Torrence and Clark from The Backrooms and blended them together. There is some level of inference that has to be made about her character prior to the crash incident but that kind of makes this more interesting.

After the incident, she acts in such a selfish way that punishes Sophie, and we can see that so so much in how Sophie reacts during the film scene. Sophie takes after Rose’s nervousness both because she’s lived with her all her life, and because her mother is incredibly emotionally unstable in the scene.

Yet you cannot blame Rosemary either. She blames herself and wants others to validate her self-deprecation. However nothing was her fault. She blames herself as a way to take control, but blaming herself also means needing retribution or closure, to which she receives neither. Rosemary is both selfish and blameless for what happened and what her actions were in response.

It’s reasonable that she would act this way over a situation so insane and I love her for that.

After watching Faces of grief I wondered how Laura looked have the headcanon that she's the looking opposite of Rosemary, having this blonde platinum hair but with the same facial features, making Rose look like the literal black sheep of the family (also picked purple as a color for her as opposite to Rose's yellow). Still not too sure about this design so if ya'll got any suggestion would be cool :P
