Our last award from Dalarnas Filmfestival 2017 was the Audience Award! We'd like to thank the audience, the jury, the festival team and all the other filmmakers for a great festival!

Kit Marshall Gow, Glean De Goya, Jermaine Yuen & Kieran Strang won the award for Best Production Design at Dalarnas Filmfestival 2017 for their work on Waltzing Tilda
"The story's locations are crucial for every scene's sense of isolation, bordedom, freedom, sorrow and loneliness. Without perfect production design the sceneries would have fallen flat but here it holds it up more than any other film this year and not only realizes the vision but improves it"
Paul d'Indy won the award for Best Cinematography at Dalarnas Filmfestival 2017 for his work on Waltzing Tilda
"A cinematography that from first to last frame excels in it's expression. It makes us fully immersed in the film's world of elevated reality"
Sarah Schmidt and Jonathan Wilhelmsson won the award for Best Editing at Dalarnas Filmfestival 2017 for their work on Waltzing Tilda
"It's clear that very well made and thought out storyboarding and storytelling techniques has been laid out for the editors, but that's what makes the editing so sharp and it adds to the story's most entertaining dimensions"
Jonathan Wilhelmsson won the award for Best Director at Dalarnas Filmfestival 2017 for his work on Waltzing Tilda
"It’s easy to be impressed by the ambitious amount of responsibility that the director of this breath of fresh air shouldered on set. He raises the bar of production beyond the competition and successfully juggles the visually imaginary image puzzle into a living whole."
Waltzing Tilda won the award for Best Film at Dalarnas Filmfestival 2017!
The jury's motivation: "A magnificent film experience that encapsulates existential issues. It surprises us with staggering apocalyptic sceneries and makes us ponder the selfishness of humanity and our need of community. With great skill and solid craftsmanship, Waltzing Tilda takes us into an absurd but highly credible world. We want to see more!"
In other news, Bandit the Rabbit received his very own special mention at the Depth of Field International Film Festival for his role in Waltzing Tilda!
