Any time you want to talk about space I’m so so so down. Like, Mass Effect is one of my top 5, but it really doesn’t fit… Scientifically. Even my professor, Andrew Hamilton said that mixing media (movies/video games/ novels/etc) is really difficult because astronautic science, and gen/special relativity are not nearly as exciting as the movies want it to be lol

I love Mass Effect with all my heart and there are so many incredibly beautiful things about that storyline but even me and my Not A Scientist brain has to look at it sometimes and go

...and also it bugs me to no end when movies/games/books that have lots of different alien species inexplicably have everyone speaking English. Like oh my GOD it shatters my suspension of disbelief so terribly.

thank you! the images i posted are just the covers. the inside is just layouts of what a magazine looks like. i usually just use placeholder text for the features...i'm not much of a writer unfortunately :(

Maybe you can help me, I have a friend who I met on a dating site (saying he was looking for women) but the more I get to know him, he likes cross dressing. Now, he hasn't mentioned doing it because he feels like he relates more as a female, or that it's more comfortable. He told me he does it for fun. I'm supposed to go out with him in a few weekends to a club, while he's cross dressing, for fun. Im severely confused. I don't want to be rude or offend him but I don't know how to act. Any advice

Well if its more comfortable for him, you should respect his choices to cross-dress. I dont think you'd want to let something such as cross dressing affect your guy's relationship. It seems minuscule in the long run.  Just think of it this way. No cloths are specifically gendered. Sure, you can have "boy tee's" or "women dresses" but in all honesty, cloths are just cloths. You wear them to cover yourself up. It shouldnt matter if a guy is wearing (place stereotypical female article of clothing here) or a woman is wearing (place stereotypical male article of clothing here)What matters is the person wearing the cloths, not what they are wearing. They are what mattersI hope this helped, have fun in a couple of weekends<3

I'm conflicted, a very good friend uses the n-word, and says it to me. Now, I'm one pale ass white child, and he is equally as white (he's from Russia...if that makes a difference.) anyway, I've told him it makes me uncomfortable when he calls me that, and he asks why. I've told him it's a racial slur, I'm not black, and I find it offensive. He just says it's a term of endearment and I just, I don't know what to say. What should I do?

Show him proof that the term is wrong and inappropriate. Especially for a non-black person to use. It is a slur. Hands down no argument.

But yes, it also is being reclaimed; but by blacks for blacks and its not always as a term of endearment even between my people. Trust me.

Now I'm really no good at all the other wording stuff, as I'm a talker not too much of a writer but I'd use whatwhiteswillneverknow as a really good jumping point, and/or keep looking for my reblogs on the subject; since I try to share the ones that really catch my feelings with all of this.

And keep on telling your friend to NOT use that word with you; you obviously do not like it and a pretty damn good friend is gonna respect you and your decisions regarding what you will and will not be called.

far too sweet for my liking, at least the brand I had. I'm aware that it can come in less-sweet varieties but I would never pay to try it. If it was offered, why not.
