Nearly all museums are free in the UK. Apart from special exhibitions. :)
Um WHAT that’s awesome
You could always go to Greenwich. Stand where Jane and Thor were in TDW, enjoy the river, go to the royal observatory, visit the famously ornately painted chapel at the university of Greenwich, see the Cutty Sark, and witness the general obsession with all things nautical (including Admiral Nelson).
Oh man I’m so disappointed we only have 5 days in London because everyone has given such good ideas! I don’t know how we’re going to choose…
If you are going to the V&A you should check out the other things in the near vicinity. The entire area is historically known as the Albertopolis. There's things like the famous Natural History Museum, the science museum, the Albert Memorial and the Royal Albert Hall.
Thank you for the suggestions!!

Ooh I made a ridiculous powerpoint about London for one of my friends before she went if you want me to send it to you!! I studied abroad there and love it forever. <3

If you're into museums V&A is my absolute favorite, it's stunning. Make sure you go to Covent Garden and walk around. My favorite place in London is the South Bank of the Thames, which is where Shakespeare's Globe and the National Theatre are and there's also the Millennium Bridge which is the bridge they destroyed in the Order of the Phoenix movie, lol. I also loved walking across Tower Bridge the first time I went, you get gorgeous views of the Thames.
ALSO go to Harrod's even if it's just to walk around and look at all the pretty stuff. They also have restaurants there that are legit delicious, even the ones that are on the less expensive side are amazing. And eat some Ben's Cookies, there's a location by V&A and one in Covent Garden as well.
Thanks @wholiveswhodiesjeaninetesori!! Also when are you starting school in London??
Ann! How long will you be in London and what do you like to do when on vacation? London is one of my all-time fave places.
I believe we have 4 nights in London (our schedule is at my friend’s house lol). The only thing we have reservations for in London is doing high tea at the Ritz on my birthday lol. We are also planning on getting an Oyster card for transportation once we get there. I am up for anything really! I like doing touristy sight-seeing for a bit but I also like doing things off the beaten path away from giant crowds. Tell me you favorite London things!!

It depends on how long you have/whether you want to do the traditional tourist things/how much you like art and/or old things
we have about 4 nights in each city. I like art and old things, my friend does not lol

FOUR WEEKS?!? How? Take me with you?
My friend works for a school district so she has the entire summer off. I asked for 6 weeks and my boss agreed to 4 weeks lol I’LL TAKE IT. Only half will actually be covered by vacation time the other half I just won’t get paid…
@ferrific replied to your photo “@sarahs-delights awesome thank you so much! Do you mind if I message…”
YOURE GOING TO LONDON AND PARIS?!?! Je suis très jalouse! I studied abroad in both places in undergrad and would give anything to go back…
Yes! I wanted to fly into Dublin but London was way cheaper. And Paris was my one non-negotiable place, I gotta put my rarely used French to work.

Go to the louvre! Go to the room with the Mona Lisa. Ignore it, the other painting around it are also masterpieces and don’t have 348 tourists surrounding them.
Everything is expensive.
Hahaha thank you for this tip and words of wisdom. My friend and I have some opposite wants for the trips, so we’re gonna have to find a balance between museum/arty stuff and just walking about to find less traditional stuff to do. I am not looking forward to blowing all my money but at the same time why the hell not?
