You have got to be fucking kidding me… I wake up. I wash my ass. I get dressed. I ride the shitty MTA to work for 45 mins. I arrive to work on time. I work 16 hours straight. I wait for my relief. I ride the shitty MTA to home for 45 mins. I wash my ass. I put my pj’s on. I go to sleep. I start again…. That’s my routine. Three days a week I go through this. I’m not complaining about having a job though. I love my job. I work at a psych ward with people with real fucking problems. I know what I’m getting myself into when I go to work. It’s the points in between me getting dressed and getting to work. And the points of me getting out of work and getting home. Yes, the actual points where I have to deal with regular everyday people. Why is it so hard to deal with regular everyday people??? I don’t get it. I’m at a lost. What the only fuck. Being that I deal with a whole host of different personalities and emotional levels for basically 48 hours every week, you would think I would be equipped to deal with the fuckary of the normal day to day. Sadly that is not the case. As much as I love my job, I do not hold any love for the highly publicized New York City public. Now don’t get it confused. I am a New Yorker. I’m apart of that public but, I’d like to think I’m apart of that tiny population of the “nice” New Yorkers. I mean just last week I held all of my composure and kept a smile on my face when two tourists made me miss my train due to them not knowing how to operate the machines. Do you see the niceness? I have no quarrels with the tourists. Please come to the city and enjoy all we have to give. That’s what 42nd st was made for. To take all of your traveling money and give you a false sense of being a true New Yorker. My problem is with those who call this wonderful city home. 😤 Ya’ll should be ashamed of yourselves.
