Billie had spent the better half of her day ensuring her apartment was spotless, reorganizing a lot absentmindedly when she finished the actual cleaning to ensure it was ready for Genie to come over. She was definitely a bit nervous, knowing Genie came from the Hamptons and that her one-bedroom apartment was no comparison to how people lived there but she did her best to make it look cute, trying to keep the cat toys corraled to a little basket next to Fang’s cat tree and ensure she didn’t have stray clothing lying around. Once she was finally happy, she changed into jean shorts and a button-up t-shirt that tied at the front, relaxing on the couch and playing a game on her phone to try to distract herself as she waited for Genie to arrive.

violet had found an easy homemade pasta recipe on the pioneer woman’s website and she was determined to try it for tony coming home. she knew she made the best meatballs, but she wanted to give her pasta a new breath of fresh air. the sauce was on the stove, the smell wafting through the kitchen. she smiled as anthony came in, “so actually when the pasta is done being cut. it cooks up in like two minutes. two minutes! anthony, isn’t that wild?”

Jack noticed him getting another drink. of course, this time he had to say hi. before, he had been working but now this was an actual event they could both enjoy. he did find him attractive and well? why not? he walked over to him, clearing his throat “remember me?” he said softly. that was stupid to say, jack liked to flirt but he was never sure if he was any good at it. he moved beside him more “it’s the face you love so much,” he teased. @wandxrcrs

Billie thanked her Uber, shutting the door and slinging her backpack over her shoulder. She had texted Genie (as promised) in regards to what time and what beach specifically they were meeting at and made sure to show up on time. She had her sunglasses on (prescription, as she didn’t want to fuck her contacts up with salt water) and had her regular glasses in her bag, partially due to knowing Genie liked glasses. Her bag also contained a towel (duh) and she had her bikini on already, covered by jean shorts and a Pride crop sweater from H&M. The outfit was finished off with a baseball cap with the word “DAD.” embroidered on it (bought with her best friend) and her Birkenstocks, just because of Genie’s comment on birks. Spotting Genie on the beach, Billie grinned and approached her, waving to the shorter girl. “I told you I’d come,” she announced with a grin.

Billie sat in the waiting room, playing games on her phone. The last few days had actually gone better than she expected, having adopted a kitten and thrown herself more or less into that, but her prescription of anti-depressants was nearing it’s end and she knew she needed to pop in to get a refill, which she also knew would probably consist of a mini update with Pippa. Hearing her name called, she slipped her phone back into her pocket and went to the office, shutting the door after she entered and sitting down. “I just need a refill,” she let out to the woman, giving her a bit of a forced smile (even if Billie was in school to be in the health 2care field, attending the doctor’s still made her nervous).

“Is it a slow day for you guys, too?” Levi asked Jamie, knowing the male through work as the police frequently talked with the local paper, especially Levi as he was at the bottom of the totem pole, “‘I feel like I haven’t been doing anything all day.”

“Yes! I have a cat named Cornelius, he’s a grey-tabby and I rescued him when I was around twenty so I’ve had him for seven years. He was found as a kitten in a hoarding house.”

16: How exactly are you feeling at the moment?

“Pretty good, honestly. School’s done for the summer, I’m working at a job I enjoy, and most of my free time is spent with my boyfriend? I think I’m pretty much living my best life, honestly.”
