WHAT RED LIGHTS IS REALLY ABOUT
Previously my main man Chan took it upon himself to educate the public about driving motorcycles and the joys that come with it, he openly educated us not only on acceleration but the thrills and joys too and for that we will always be thankful. Because Chan is an educated and wise man who enjoys a good storyline he has decided to continue with the story about the joys of the road, with the song red lights which explicitly talks about traffic lights or rather red lights, whichever you prefer. In the after school club interview Bang Chan talked about how it’s about fighting the urge to do something, the something he was referring to is very obviously speeding past the red lights while driving….a motorcycle.
The music video isn’t out yet but from the preview we all saw the chains and the backless, cropped tops. I will then explain how and why this wardrobe choice is in line with the theme.
The chains holding them back are supposed to be a play on holding them back from doing the wrong thing, the wrong thing being “driving that motorcycle past the red lights”, the backless, cropped attire is only due to the fact that it is hot in the night due to the speed they are travelling at and the obvious feeling of heat inside that chan previously mentioned.
The reason you cannot see the road in the preview of the music video is because these are just thoughts in their head, the fight within.
I know some of you might not be agreeing with me because you are like “wait the lyrics don’t go with what you are spewing”, but you know what? They do.
When he says “you know that I can’t leave you alone”, they are referring to the acceleration and the staring wheel, he cannot leave it alone because he aims to keep going forward, the lyrics inform us of the battle that is going on between them and their thoughts and the bikes, “I cannot breathe without you being right by my side, I’ll die”, chan already stated how much he loves motorcycles, and now he is only affirming it, he cannot and will not and does not want to live without it being right by his side, nothing sexual or romantic about these lyrics just an ordinary motorcycle lover spewing facts.
“make you feel my love”, is a lyric directed at the motorcycle to know that he loves it so much and that is why he treats it so well. The way he holds it when he is driving is only meant to remind the vehicle that it is loved.
“even if I try to run away from you there is no answer”, he is trying to remind you people that traffic lights are always there, so if he speeds to pass one he will find another one right ahead.
“it’s a night wrapped in darkness” this line is in direct correlation with the one from drive that goes, “we’ll be dancing with the shadows in the night”, he likes to drive at night, where it’s only him and the motorcycle, both him and hyunjin like the night.
These men are well versed in the topic of motorcycles and traffic and because they are such a wholesome group they aim to educate stays on all that they know, so next time you think of traffic and motorcycles you will be well versed in the subject thanks to these men.
I will further explain the link when the music video drops, but until then get your thoughts straight and stop hearing things that aren’t there, the only reason red lights is a sexy concept song is because motorcycles and guys with backless, cropped tops are sexy no matter how you look at it.
Like think about it why would my man chan be making sexual songs when he is just a baby…he knows nothing of that sort, and not to mention my little lovestay boy hyunjin. My boys are innocent, there’s no way they are grown men in their 20’s expressing their sexual desires, fantasies and experiences, no way. They are innocent idol babies, there is no resemblance to 50 shades of grey, and the only grey they know is the colour. So please do not spread false information on my babies. STAY EDUCATED.
