I’ve played through DSII, I got partway through DS1 but the bad port (even after dsifix) kinda started to grate on me, and I lost my progress due to some GFWL bull. So I kinda gave up on it.

Another interesting thing with squares: from one square number from another, you can add the square of the small one, the small one itself, and the big one and you'll find the square of the big one. example: 4*4=16. 16+4+5=25. 5*5=25.

What he's talking about is this pattern:

square_old + factor_old + factor_new = square_new = factor_new^2

1 + 1 + 2 = 4 = 2*2

4 + 2 + 3 = 9 = 3*3

9 + 3 + 4 = 16 = 4*4

16 + 4 + 5 = 25 = 5*5

25 + 5 + 6 = 36 = 6*6

36 + 6 + 7 = 49 = 7*7

I think you made a mistake, earlier. Twins, even if they share the same DNA, have different finger prints.

Genetically their finger prints are still the same. They can become different, like dicks, through external conditions.
