oh man, chubby ocs! my dude Oscar is an alien with a design kinda like a humanoid nudibranch (he's colorful!) with a very pear-shaped body type, soft tummy and all. he's a definite cuddlebug, but when he's embarrassed or flustered he secretes toxic mucus and that kinda makes it tough to keep hugging him, lmao 6u9;;

what is Walter's "armor" like? is it more of a second skin, like an exoskeleton that holds his slime body like a bottle? or...?
Walter’s armor is a pseudo-exoderm he generates from his own slime. He takes the outermost layers and hardens it until it takes on the color and texture of a real watermelon rind. It lasts for a few days or up to a week. The problem that arises is the fact that Walter has a self replication factor that causes him to continually create more slime. Usually it evaporates causing the air around him to smell of watermelon but because he’s effectively stuck in the armor it will slowly start to swell bigger and tighter until it starts to crack and break under the pressure.

Holy shit, I did draw 300 pages of comics. Huh.Back in 2008, when I first started working on this thing, I thought -- well, not thought, I knew -- that that was something I was simply incapable of accomplishing. Only big artists and comics pros could make a big thick graphic novel, right? And you gotta make like 300 pages a year, right?but there you go. I did 300 pages; I just didn't do them in a year. edit: it's looking like the story's going to end somewhere around 450. Only twice as long as I'd originally planned. :v
