Bit late, but Pivo’s Inn League/Ale Association delivery war steed

Question for lotro players. 

I just got my war steed! But I’m struggling with fighting on my war steed. My current strategy is just running in circles around the thing I want to kill and attacking it that way, but I feel like there’s a more efficient way of doing things. Is there a more efficient way of attacking on a war steed or am I doomed to run in circles?

Ok a war steed is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in a video game. I can hardly get it to stop and now it's turned into a game of "how fast can I click on the quest giver and finish the quest before I ride straight past him"

I'm not gonna even mention actually fighting on one
