(Alright, think thats all of them... Can you think of anything else Ward?)
(Hmm. Maybe add sweeping the entryway every few days as well? She might get a bit of exercise out of that too.)
(!)
Just a few quick scratches on the sheet of paper before him and...
Wander set his pen aside and reclined in his chair, the task finally finished. He was seated at a table in the Dogi’s cabin, a few loose pages strewn about its surface. Clearly there’s been a busy goopman this morning. For indeed it was quite early in the day, and the goop was the only resident awake at the hour, The start of the amalgam’s day had been filled with work on his latest project, and soon so would Winter’s!
(We are not finished yet you loafer! Come on and give those a once over!)
(Yeah yeah, I’m on it ya slave driver heheh)
A few corrected mispellings later (Wouldn’t want the kid to see those!) and Wander made his way to their guest room, quietly slipping in less he wake her. It was almost becoming a habit now, leaving little surprises for his daughter while she slept. Today’s offering wasn’t particularly extravagant, just a small bundle of paper, neatly folded up and unadorned save for a small sketch on the top page.
Appears to be a doodle of a smiling Winter holding a snow plow.
It likely wasn’t as exciting to wake up to as the Gyftmas tree, but Wander considered it to be quite important. He carefully placed the bundle into the sleeping child’s hand and departed. It was only three sheets, the first being a short letter for Winter.
Good morning lazy miscreant,
Remember when we talked about you doing some chores and helping around the cabin? Well, I finally got around to setting that up for you! I prepared a list of tasks for you on the next page, and how often you’ll be doing them. The last page has a little calendar chart for you to fill out. Every time you finish all your chores for a day, you’ll put a little mark on the calendar for that chart. Fill up a week, and you’ll get a little bit of G as a reward and allowance.
I’ll help you for the first week, show you what you need to do and how to do it. Need to make sure you don’t strain yourself either. Hoping that giving you a reason to move about will help with that tiredness, help you feel a bit better. Sure a little exercise would be good for you too.
So, once you feel like you’re awake enough, make your bed, come downstairs and we’ll get started. You can ask questions and I’ll explain anything that you’re confused about while we work on your first chore.
Love you kissan, we’ll get you lively and feeling well in no time,
Wander
The next folded sheet did indeed have a list of chores, complete with little pictures relevant to each job!
