What is a 'Wardmote'?

The name 'Wardmote' refers to a unique type of community meeting initiated by and for the inhabitants of a 'ward', 'ward' referring back to traditional terminologies for areas and districts organised around a 'council'. The area known as 'The City of London' within the wider metropolis of London is one of the few places where 'Wardmotes' still occur. This is due to the retention of many traditional structures within 'The City of London' that have been removed from many modern council designations.

The Wardmote 'turret' is a deliberate nod to a rarely used logo the appears in some of the lifts on the Barbican Estate in London. This version have been redrawn to appear as geometrically correct as possible. This allows it to be adapted to various departments within Wardmote AdBod and beyond.
