Wardrobe Trunk Transformation
No one wanted this trunk and I really could not blame them. When my hubby and I pulled up around 2 pm at the garage sale, I saw so much stuff and then…as we walked up the driveway we spotted it. On its side, laying there with a price tag of $10!
The finds of the day stacked in the Expedition
$10? We could not believe it and as we opened it…the smell of old about knocked us over! It was horrible…

98% sure I could fit all the clothes I wear most often into a wardrobe trunk. Would it be a bad idea to get one and use it like an actual wardrobe, keeping the stuff I don't usually need at my mom's house? I mean, I could even get rid of most of the clothes I own and not even be affected.
I COULD get grandma to teach me basic sewing, make a whole new collection, then get rid of ALL my clothes. I know how to crochet.
I got another trunk over the weekend. Last week I was at my old house and was doing yard work, and I went to the garage and started snooping around to see what was in it. I look underneath a table, and there I find this magnificent trunk. So I asked my Aunt if I could keep it and she said yes. I'm now the proud owner of two awesome ass trunks. Now for a little back story on the trunks. My old house was built about 1910 and before my family bought it, it was used only by one family. We bought the house around 1950. When the previous owners moved, they left like 3 or 4 trunks in the attic. So now I have two trunks which are at least 60 years old. What I love about trunks is that they carry such a great story within them. I have no idea where they've been, and I find that so intriguing. I took my other trunk to my first year of college, my brother had the same trunk throughout his entire college career. Within it's hard shell, these trunks carry the stories of so many people. And the wonderful thing is, it'd probably take an act of God to destroy them. I hope to at least keep one for the rest of my life. And to maybe even get more. I will carry my trunk with me all the time, at every place I call a home, there my trunk will be. Because not only does it carry the things I need to live, but it carries the memories of all that I've done while it's been in my possession. Maybe one day my children will forget about an old dusty trunk that's in the attic, and someone else decades later will find it, and pick it up with the same enthusiasm that I have.
