“So. Do we have a deal?”
Quick redraw of my Corpus medic OC, Kai Whaka'Ora
Was in an art block all this time, but it seems to me somehow made some progress
It had been an uneventful day as Dei Lila was waiting at her usual spot within a relay. The events of the Sentient invasion were starting to die down as people started to go back to their normal routines, even with the new Narmer around. Though even though she tried not to show it, there was a deep worry as Dei looked around. She knew her brother Dox should’ve come by a few weeks ago, but there was nothing. And the fact she had heard a few people talking about another disappeared Corpus Pillar ship. She knew her brother worked on board one and she deeply hoped the missing ship wasn’t the one he was on but a part of her feared the worst.
After waiting a bit longer Dei stopped leaning against the metal wall and decided to go walk take a break in her ship. It was a modified version of a Corpus Dropship that was fitted to be able to hide its signal from others so that she didn’t have to worry about being found. She stepped inside and closed the platform door inside behind her and decided to check the console inside where she did find a message from a close friend having been waiting for her. She was a bit confused as she wasn’t expecting to be messaged but looked anyway, expecting it to be something she has to go get for him, but as she read through it, she could feel her heart drop as the sinking feeling of dread came to her.
“I know this is a bit sudden of me to do, but I knew I had to tell you this. But some of the people working for me had found the missing ship that I assume you already had heard about, but that’s not why I’m sending this. I’m sending this because of what they found. It wasn’t any object no, but a living thing. An infested. But when I took a closer look at its genetic codes from a sample, they managed to get back to me, I realised I had to tell you. It was partially matching with yours. I’m not sure if it’s truly what I’m assuming, but if it is. I wish I could be there for you right now. The image within this message is what the group sent me when I asked for one. I hope you stay safe, and I will not ask of you to get me anything this month and will let you take the time you need. But know I will do anything I can to help if you so wish.”
After reading through the message Dei hesitated before looking at the imaged that was attached to it. In it she could see a large, blueish grey and monstrous being on four legs and with a gaping mouth with sharp teeth, the top jaw having an extra outer layer. It had large claws and on its forearms were bright blue, almost metallic rings. It had spikes running down its back and a tail with an almost claw like end. But when she looked at the four bright blue eyes it had, she knew. She could see the unmistakable stripe going down each of the bottom eyes on both sides and the black line marking on his neck. This thing was him. Her little brother had become this thing. Dei couldn’t hold her tears back anymore as she was trying to process if what she was seeing was real.
“No… Dox... that can’t be. I promised to protect you... I... promised...” She muttered to herself as she put her right hand slightly over the snout of the being in the picture. Dei hoped this wasn’t real, that this was all a nightmare, and she would wake up soon. But deep down she knew this nightmare was real. It was made even more clear as she did feel Icefang slightly lean her head against her leg before Dei did slightly push it off her. Icefang made a worried beeping noise and Dei simply stared back at the picture as she muttered out
“Not now, Icey… I… I need time to... to process this…”
“Even after the recent happenings, I’m still stuck waiting...”
Slightly redesigned him
Been a while since we last spoke! But we're still alive and even got some new people to join us in answering questions and making appearances!
First we have Keiro Liv from the Anyo Corp. He's been working in the Index for quite a while now and despite his age is still going strong. Even if now his main focus is in making profit to Nef Anyo above all else...
Next up we have Zyro. An unfortunate manic who got too close with an infested encounter. But she's able to control herself to at least be able to answer questions for you all!
Last but not least, we have Eve and Lyn. This double headed infested creature is certainly a curious case of siblings now being stuck together forever.
