space marine who tries desperately to hide that he has impaired vision under the belief his brothers would think less of him and he doesnt want cybernetic implants, but his entire chapter knows and doesnt care because hes still as good a soldier as any of them, but they sometimes use it to mess with him because he struggles to tell some chapters apart. Nearby chapters are also in on the joke.
It only really becomes a problem when dealing with heretic space marines.
As someone who wears glasses irl and struggles to tell space marine chapters apart even with them, this just sounds fun to me. Colorblind space marine could also be interesting.
