the rage coursing through the immortal sent a shock through his body. it was like alec was frozen in time forced to watch the one he held dearest become a monster. this isn’t what he wanted. it was the last thing he’d ever desire to witness.
“MAGNUS, STOP! please, i don’t think you’re a villain; i never have..”

all he could do was stare on in awe at the power and passion his beloved possessed. there wasn’t a way for the eldest lightwood to ever stop loving him. even in magnus’ darkest days, alec would continue to see the beauty in the raging seas.
the tell brunette tried to speak, but his voice was muffled under the clashing of glasses against the walls.
“i’m so sorry. i never meant to do this to you. all my life, i’ve been so caught up in how i saw myself- i never stopped to think that maybe i didn’t show you that i saw everything i’ve always wanted in you. magnus bane, i gave up on letting my family have control of my heart the moment i fell in love with you. that will never change til the day i di-”
his words were cut off by a glass shard hitting him in the chest. the shadowhunter looked down with wide eyes to see the blood staining his shirt. his vision swimming, he looked up to his warlock extending his arm in desperation before collapsing to the floor.
he sent a prayer to the angel to bring him back to his love before a prison of darkness claimed him.
