Rockin these two dudes tonight down at @oldmajorbmore with my man @mikecheck20 ...the one on the left is a custom build by one of my best friends, the talented @ruggibarr (with a beefy solid rosewood neck and chambered alder body), and the one on the right is the closest I’ve come to doing build “myself” - it’s a 2014/15(?) roadhouse strat- it came with a rosewood fingerboard, and I swapped necks with a friend who had the same guitar, but had a sold maple neck. A couple years later I put in a pickguard loaded with Vince Gill EMGs- the original pickups it came with were active- so it already had a chamber for the battery! Amazingly, I’ve never had this strat professionally set up, which is saying something, considering how anal I can be about intonation.
