Feeling his back against the wall, Siv smiled nervously at the hound, hands raised. As big as it was, it could tear his throat if it wanted to. Only the beast was inquisitive, wet snout sniffing. Please, please, please, the young wizard chanted to himself as the dog opened its jaws.... to give him a massive lick on the face.
Gross... To his relief, the dog was nothing more than a giant pushover, its snout pushing against his hand, seeking his touch. He sighed, his hand giving the animal the much desired scratch of its sharply pointed ears as he wiped off the drool with the sleeve of his shirt. The dog loved it, foot thumping, the wild bush that was its tail wracking his thigh as it wagged.
Something about the dog... It didn’t appear normal to him. Grabbing the hound’s snout with a firm yet gentle hold, he stared into its eyes. A beady black gaze stared back, unreadable. He could have swore he marked some intelligence hidden within their depths. Almost as if it was... laughing at him for trying to puzzle out it being here.
