introducing the hot new cursed DHMIS crackship: LoveBird/Warnold! (Warren x Shrignold)
shout out to the vastly talented artists who have already taken to drawing this abomination of a ship, you are doing the lord’s work 😂 this has been edited as the lovely @oats-n-goats came up with the brilliant ‘LoveBird’ ship name! i think that one sounds much nicer 😉 now, let’s get down to brass tacks. why?! you scream. why would you put these two together?! well, it’s hilarious. sometimes that’s all you need. but let’s consider a scenario in which these two characters who have never met might actually develop some sort of affection for one another. on the one hand, we have Shrignold: a prominent member of a love cult whose belief in his god and his fellow cult members is so strong, he has absolutely no problem tormenting and attempting to brainwash those he feels must follow his way of life. on the other hand, we have Warren: a pathetic, antisocial worm with delusions of grandeur and serious interpersonal problems which manifest in his overbearing attitude towards those who he considers his friends - even though his friendships are terribly one-sided. i unironically think these two would complete each other in their delightful awfulness. Shrignold believes firmly in the notion of finding a ‘Special One’, and is all about commitment. Warren isn’t too far off in his own views - he believes that you must treat your friends in a very particular way, and any deviation from this behaviour is cause for punishment and scorn. i think that Warren is so deliriously needy for any kind of affection, and Shrignold is so hooked on the idea of a devoted significant other, that the two would fall together either in a genuinely loving, passionate relationship...or a toxic, co-dependent mess, depending on what you like 😉 those are my thoughts...run with them as you wish 🔥💖
