Warnsdorfer School - “Kinder-sthetics”

The East Brunswick Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the following grant, submitted by Michele Reisbord, Claudia Weiss, Susan Chibbaro, Katrina Retzlaff,Sherrie Scott, Britteny Mickens and Allison Daly, has been approved for funding:

The goal of this grant is to provide a variety of multi-sensory resources to enhance children’s foundational skills. These activities will be used to assist Kindergarten students with the acquisition of identifying letters, sounds, chunks and sight words.

Warnsdorfer School – Bird Buddies

The East Brunswick Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the following grant, submitted by Donna Taylor, have been approved for funding:

The students will design informational posters based on the facts they obtain from nonfiction books. They will create feeders and habitats for the birds in our area. The third grade students will buddy up with the first grade students as mentors throughout this program.

We Can Be Heroes-Write Now!

The East Brunswick Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the following grant have been approved for funding:

Warnsdorfer School – We Can Be Heroes-Write Now! Susan Mizerak Students in this third grade class will serve as writing mentors for the second grade classes in each of the writing units of study. An easel will be purchased for students to use as they present the difference between telling like a “reporter” and telling like a “storyteller”.

Ball in the House

The East Brunswick Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the following grant have been approved for funding: Warnsdorfer School – Ball in the House Dr. Renee Soccodato The goal of this grant is to teach students about a cappella music, the blending of voices and how to work together as a team to create beautiful music. This program will feature a full day with the national touring a cappella ensemble Ball in the House. The day will begin with a master class and mini-performance. Throughout the day there will be further educational sessions. An evening concert with Ball in the House performing will be held for students and parents.
