Bright lights reflect upon the pond as the treeline cradle the bottom of the infrastructure ; metal and glass reflect silver exteriors of the modern city. A sigh of relief escape from his parted lips in awe because it isn’t all gray and smoke where debris and ashes compose the barren environment ; thunderstorms decorate the earth’s ceiling while stars and comets fill the night sky in this area. There’s only one thing in his mind right now: he must have come home.
Despite the positive outcome of his experiment , it gives him disappointment since he hasn’t come back to the Apocalypse World. It means that he has still difficulty in pinpointing his destination on his own even if he has seen and felt the atmosphere of the other world. The peace in the area while he can see people walking on the pathways and soft warm lights illuminate every spot indicates that he has never left this plane ; he merely teleported to another location that he doesn’t know.
So , he comes out of the zone he is in ----- and comes across a dark green signage that read ‘ NEW YORK CITY CENTRAL PARK MAP ’. Jack is never versed in geography since the only state he knows is Kansas where Dean , Sam and Castiel resided , but he wonders if this city is still in the US. His mother worked in the US , he has seen her memories or at least, snippets of it. While browsing the information graphic , Jack senses shadows moving at a fast rate , coming in as swift of wind that send a lady’s skirt almost flying and a man’s hat off his head.
Are they demons ??
Curiosity prompts the Nephil to action , leaving the trusted map to follow the shadows ; wings flutter fast as he appear and disappear to every corner that they may have gone off ----- until they stopped. Black-clothed figures enter a run-down church , then they’re gone. Jack appears in front of the steps , wondering why demons entered God’s house. They should be burning right now , shouldn’t they ??
Silently , the boy raises his hand to send a wave of gold , opening the doors to his grandfather’s home to inspect.
