Back to the bees! #Repost @milkwood_permaculture ・・・ Happy bees at the entrance of one of our new Warre hives... populated by a swarm we caught 4 weeks ago, these ladies are busy bringing in lots of multi-coloured pollen to feed their new babies. Today we'll add another box beneath their hive to give uninterrupted space for the bees to build new comb for their brood downwards, always downwards. As the top brood hatches, they backfill the cells above immediately with pollen and honey, ensuring there's no empty space in the comb above their babies.
