Evan was trying hard, really hard to tell himself this wasn’t as bad as it was. And it was true; he could’ve ended up stuck with someone a lot worse than her. He was just... unsure how comfortable he felt in all of it. He’d been friends with her brother for so long, she almost felt like she was his own sister. And now they were... well, he clearly had to stop thinking that way about her now.

It was early in the morning when he woke up. He still hated how some of those Quidditch practices had to be so early in the morning. Not that he minded waking up early, but this was almost an ungodly hour. Carefully, Evan tried his best to get ready without waking her up. Which seemed to work at first. Up until he picked up his bad from the floor, accidentally knocking a shelf with it. Instantly, his gaze moved towards the bed, where he saw her stir a little. “I’m sorry.” He whispered in a soft voice. “Go back to sleep, El. I’ll be home later.”
