warriorchief is in the audience
Fire and water came together and clashed, creating steam and a great smokescreen in the air; great stones whirled in the air and created shapes and pieces of artwork that immediately fell back to the ground as soon as they were made; and in the middle of the other benders’ antics, a young woman whirled and twirled and flipped, flying far higher into the air than any normal acrobat. Carabella was the centerpiece of tonight’s performance, and she loved it. She always had fun being surrounded by her friends and family during their shows.
The entire performance came together in a great finale, ending with Carabella sending herself higher into the air than she had at any other point in the show, keeping herself aloft while she flipped and spun, then landing in her sort-of brother Jahn’s arms, who then tossed her up slightly so she landed lightly on his shoulder and struck a pose. She hopped down and took his hand for a bow with the rest of the performers, then another by herself. And that was the end of the show.
While the other performers scattered to go to their respective caravans and the audience filtered out, Carabella stayed behind to clean up their performing space. Her abilities came in handy for cleaning up quickly, and she would rather clean up the space now than leave it for the others to do the next day. She worked speedily and efficiently, glad for the heavy tunic that was a part of her costume whenever the Crescent Island Traveling Players visited either of the Water Tribes.
