Would you cook for me?: “I don't know if you'd like it, but yes.”

“It’s on my academic track.”

Answering the question, at least, makes sense. Unlike the apparition in front of her.

(Though she’s aware that for Thrawn this is at best a substandard answer. To be taught something is not necessarily to study it. Art has never been her exact forte, but it’s an open secret how much it matters to the Chiss.)

“Are you....well, Admiral?“

There’s some amount of concern hidden in the court-ordained scorn. She’s seen the man drink before, of course, but never lose control of his faculties like this.

Cobb chuckles softly, wrapping his arms around the other’s waist. “It’s easy. We can even practice.” Cobb grins, showing his teeth before he leans up on his tip toes. He gently presses his lips against Thrawn’s. Cobb slides one arm up and places his hand on the other’s chest, fingers curling in the other’s clothing.

BLACK AND BLUE BRUISED HIS FACE. A dark purple marred his handsome features. The Imperial brig was isolating and quiet. Silence, save for the occasional footsteps outside, indistinct radio chatter and the soft hums of the engine. 

With his back straightened against the wall, he waited. Thumbs twiddled with one another as Obi-Wan contemplated over his next move. Calmness flowed through his body. Deep, slow breaths escaped his lips. They remain unaware of his status as a former Jedi ( yet ). Reluctance and slight anxiety prickled in his chest. Every once in a while, his hands would unconsciously linger near to where the weapon usually dangled. With the heaviest of hearts, his most prized possession had been left behind for this mission. 

Now, he waited ( Will they kill him? ). A few of them had already took some liberty in expressing their hatred for the common rabble.

if   he   had   thought   the   attraction   wasn’t   reciprocated   ,   the   GENERAL   would   have   blinked   ,   startled   and   stunned   into   the   ground   .   but   what   had   surprised   him   more   was   that   THRAWN   was   the   first   one   to   initiate   the   request   .  

the   CHISS’   crimson   inspection   did   not   go   unnoticed   .   the   way   they   dragged   slowly   along   the   general’s   appearance   ,   from   his   neatly   combed   hair   ,   down   to   the   tip   of   polished   boots   and   then   up   again   .   it   was   by   no   mean   subtle   and   that   had   MAXIMILIAN   intrigued   .   a   grin   stretched   wide   upon   his   lips   ,   dangling   from   them   was   a   thin   cigarette   which   he   occasionally   smoked   when   his   nerves   were   alit   .   “   you   definitely   need   to   work   on   your   flirting   ,   THRAWN   .   ”   he   purred   as   he   dropped   the   cig   stub   and   stepped   on   it   as   he   leaned   closer   to   the   GRAND   ADMIRAL   .   there   ,   in   the   specks   of   green   and   amber   ,   his   gaze   cleared   as   he   took   in   THRAWN’s   unique   features   .   “   but   as   a   matter   of   fact   ...   i   do   .   ”

it   was   quite   uncommon   to   encounter   well-dressed   IMPERIALS   dancing   around   each   other   in   the   back   alleyway   of   some   seedy   cantina   but   while   they   were   immaculate   and   stood   out   ,   no   one   gave   them   a   second   glance   .  

when   lips   were   close   enough   to   touch   ,   MAX   pulled   back   instantly   ,   luring   THRAWN   to   follow   .   “   let’s   go   .   this   place   kriffing   stink   .   ”

Wolffe flinches slightly when the other gets close and whispers those three words into his ear with an eerie voice. “Should I be, sir?” He licks his lips a bit, a lazy smirk tugging at his lips as he tilts his head slightly. “Because i’m not.” He was a little bit, but he wasn’t about to give the other the satisfaction.

It is said that one should keep one's allies within view, and one's enemies within reach. A valid statement. One must be able to read an ally's strengths, so as to determine how to best use them. One must similarly be able to read his enemy's weaknesses, so as to determine how to best defeat him. But what of friends?
