“This is treason!” Snarling and spitting as he paced the cell he’d been kept in, tiny and unfitting of the Supreme Chancellor, he seemed more like the Sith he was than he had before his capture. It seemed as if they pounced on him with great care, piping poison through the vents. 

It was cowardly, and distinctly unjedi.

He was almost impressed.

Obi-Wan... Not your fault it is. These events, mediated by a darker power have they been. Ahsoka's loss, unfortunate, yes... But unavoidable it was. Heard yourself you did, from Dooku, under the control of the Sith the Republic is. If not exiled her did we, if protected her we did, not the Jedi would be, hmm? A schism between the Jedi and Republic the Sith wish to create, if stopped the trial we did, only victorious would they be. The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few, they do.

Several thoughts went through Obi-Wan’s head at the Grandmaster’s words, most not very appreciative of his “words of wisdom”.  Not this time.  Had he listened to his gut, to what the Force, was telling him...

Even so, he gritted his teeth and said without any hostility in his tone, “Thank you, Master Yoda.  Your words have been most illuminating.  I...I just wish I could have at least stalled things so that the discovery of Barriss’s betrayal wouldn’t have come too late like it did.”
