Homeworld? That was an odd name to call home. Though it must be this pink lady's home, so Kitty wasn't going to judge. Back on Earth, Kitty found a warp and when she stepped on it, it sent her to Homeworld. Getting past the soldiers was pretty easy given the fact that she's a highly skilled thief who doesn't get caught easily.

"Please. Those soldiers have never crossed paths with the famous thief, Kitty Softpaws, who is me by the way." No gem has ever crossed paths with her to begin with. Still, Kitty enjoys having a name for herself, so bragging a bit made her feel satisfied. "For a human, I must say, it's weird to see someone to have odd colored skin. Unless, I'm mistaken and you're not human at all."

       time helped everything -- that was something steven had always been a firm believer in, and though it had taken.. an EXCESSIVE amount of time and a lot of therapy to overcome some of his issues with his mother.. he was finally growing comfortable with the idea of having her around on a more permanent basis. things between them had been.. incredibly awkward, he knew that, but he was.. ready to try, at least. 

     “ah -- mom. it’s.. i was just gonna head out to watch the sunset and play some music... did.. you want to come with me?” 

     it was the first time that steven had really offered to let his mother join in with any of his activities without her having asked him first.. it was.. a step in a more positive direction, and that was a good thing, for sure.

After getting back from a long day at working at the carwash, Greg had had the misfortune of running in to Pearl on his way to see Rose. Their encounter led to another round of bickering over this and that, the topic of Rose had come up, and that had only fueled things further and worsened his mood. When he finally did find Rose and they’d made it to the beach so they could unwind, he found himself still in a bit of a mood. A mood that, he figured, was best taken out musically.

...Or at least, it would have been if he’d remembered to tune his guitar prior to that point.

“I get that she knew you first,” Greg vented as he continued working with the instrument, “but she doesn’t have to act so smug about it. I didn’t even wanna turn this into a fight tonight. Can we go one day without-” Twang. He’d tightened one of the strings just a bit too much, and it snapped. The string met his hand, and Greg yelped in a mix of surprise and pain.

“Ow... yeah. That was smooth,” he said. Examining the cut the string had left revealed that it had started to bleed a little bit. Nothing life threatening, but still. It did hurt. So much for a relaxing night together. “I’m okay,” he tried to insist, but he knew Rose. She couldn’t just sit by after he’d gone and done something stupid, right?
