Do you think Ise-Caine sometimes wakes up disoriented, briefly thinking the circus was just a dream before fully waking up and realizing they're still stuck in digital hell? (hope I worded this in a way that makes sense -v-;)

oh absolutely.

semi-related, but i want an excuse to talk about it: he sometimes gets time to rest and visits (or gets visits from) the moon, and she also helps him sleep/de-stress but it's often with the cost of losing more memories or awareness.

her presence to him feels like his mind getting stuffed with cotton. not bad, but probably not good in the long term if he wants to hang onto memories and his sense of self.

he avoids her sometimes, because he's worried about that. since he can't say why though it just turns into a bit of cat and mouse at times
