Trick or treat!
The force of you knocking on the door causes it to creak open.
You wait for a few moments, and it becomes apparent that there is nobody who is coming. Perhaps this was to be expected. Perhaps not. It ultimately does not matter.
What does matter is this strange sensation that you cannot place. It feels as if the building itself is beckoning you in...
Before you can stop yourself, you step through the door. The interior is made of wood, and is very dark.
The entrance is a somewhat small room; it is certainly quite a large portion of this particular place's floorplan, but it is not especially large. The room is empty, other than a fireplace, which seems to somehow be burning despite the apparent abandon that the resto of the building appears to be in.
On the ground, near the still-burning fireplace, you see a small metal box.
Opposite from the fireplace is a hallway, which turns around a corner.
