Having seen the Wasalia episode of Sofia the First I'm rather amused by it.

While it can be seen as simply Christmas with another name it also seems to have references to Hanukkah as well. As a whole it seems like a mash-up of the two holidays which is easily miss able.

I mean lighting a giant candle together at night could be a reference to a few things but the fact a few kids in the episode spin what seems like a dreidel makes it seem fairly likely this was on purpose.
