Puppet history!!

hi i already answered puppet history here !! but i’ll do another one bc aaaaaa i have a lot of historical tidbits that are funny !!

when manuel l. quezon, the 2nd philippine president, was invited by the prime minister of japan (if i remember correctly) for dinner to discuss alliances, the prime minister was almost finished w his food, so he lifted the bowl up to his lips to finish it off. in japan this was probably normal but in the philippines it was a bit rude to do that in a formal setting bc it means you’re “patay gutom” or dead hungry (its a bit derogatory tbh). and quezon being the funny guy he is, he just said out loud “aba! gutom ka ata!” (”woah! you’re really hungry huh?”) which gained him a few confused stares and his filipino associates had to explain to him that it was a normal thing in japan to do that

Puppet History: What’s the most interesting or funny historical fact you know?

i only know history from my country so pls forgiv

when the philippine’s first and last prime minister, apolinario mabini was a teenage boy, before he had polio, he used to tutor one of his female classmates at their house, the classmate took a liking to him and wished they would get married so she told her brother about him and the brother cornered mabini and basically forced him to marry his sister. mabini didn’t want to outright refuse bc ofc he didn’t want to get beaten up by the brother (also to save the girl from embarrassment from a rejected proposal), so what he did was he jumped out of the window of a two storey house and ran back home. if i remember correctly, his slipper fell off when he jumped and he had to run home w only one slipper.

The Professor: What did you enjoy learning most in school? What’s something you want to learn now?

i went to art school for 4 years in high school and now i’m in art school for college and i never get tired of learning abt art history !! i love it so much, the techniques and the meaning behind each painting, it just seems v personal to know the meaning of it, like y’know ur in on a secret

well it’s not a school subject but i’ve always wanted to roller skate !! my mom never gave me skates bc i was a hyperactive child and wheels on my feet only meant hospital bills, i’m ok w it tho bc i prolly wouldnt have the patience to learn back then and i really would be hospitalized if she gave me wheels on my feet. my goal is to be good enough to wear skates anywhere bc i am just lazy, i just wann glide inside a room plus !! if u hav wheels u go real fast !!!!!

tourist trapped!

Tourist Trapped: What are the hidden gems and best attractions from your hometown/city?

i actually live in the art capital of my country !! we have wall murals, busking, art galleries that you can go to for free, a few traditional painters paint outside near the lake (you can get your portrait made !!), there’s so much to do here although not rn bc of the pandemic

Homemade: What’s your favourite comfort food? Do you have any fond memories to go with it? 

there’s a filipino street food called isaw and it’s basically chicken intestine on a stick, it sounds gross but trust me it’s pretty gucci. i remember that me and my friends buy it after school bc there’s a stall right outside the school gate !!

Spooky Small Talk: Do you scare easily? Talk about a time you’ve been spooked, paranormal or not!

technically yea, i am jumpy, i’m just v sensitive to sudden sounds or jumpscares. i can’t remember the last time i was spooked but here’s a time where i know i should’ve been spooked, i was in bed getting ready to sleep, the lights were already off n i was facing a wall when i heard light footsteps inside my room, then i felt my bed dip as if someone sat on it and my first thought was “oh there’s something sitting on my bed” then i just proceeded to fall asleep

candies !! bc hey i like candies a lot

haribo gummy berries (gummies are gucci-est candy okay, they are perfect)

raisinets (idk why theyre v good, im not generally a fan of raisins but if its covered in chocolate its like a fun surprise)

any mint chocolate bar (yea i said it, its here, i love it, its a good flavor if any1 fites me on this i WILL defend it well)

maltesers (i have no words, the way it just melts in ur mouth *chefs kiss*)

sour tape candy (yknow the ones y’all buy in like a container, any color of those bad boys, i will finish it in one sitting)

TOURIST TRAPPED !!!!! quarantine had just started and i was YEARNING to be w friends and go on dates w my bf and i watched tourist trapped and it HIT ME HARD, i just kept watching it over and over and it somehow gave me a sense of comfort, i think after a while i saw myself as part of their adventure so it made me feel less sad abt not being w friends.

personally i would want the boys to do a world tour but no no i want something doable at this time so okay hear me out. gaming channel but they play board games, cards, puzzles, etc. i would do anything for a show where they just play uno and here’s how i think it would go: ryan would lose every time bc steven n shane have an unspoken understanding that all +4s go to ryan and he ends up with like 25 cards

Weird and/or Wonderful World: Talk about something weird and/or wonderful you have experienced that made the world seem more interesting?

this is v basic but for me it’s going to college

despite my first year being interrupted by this whole thing, i really enjoyed my time in college. i was away from home,i had to take care of myself, i learned how to be independent and i finally got my privacy, i met so many great people and was really happy with the school i went to bc its an art school so it was non traditional and v few dress codes so i finally got to wear what i want and be who i really want to be and i never even felt like i was judged bc the people there are just like me !!

Grocery Run: If you go to the store at 3am, what are you buying and who is tagging along with you?

if i’m going out at 3am just to go to the store, i would definitely be just buying junk food and candy, lots of cookies, prolly some ice cream too, not even anything healthy, i am a literal child that has been given money. i would bring my bf along bc he will stop me from buying too much sweets and would make me buy actual stuff i need that i forgot i needed

Travel Season, my beloved ♥️ I also love Too Many Spirits, especially the early seasons for giving us all three founders in the same series

4. Top 5 beatdown! What are your top 5 episodes?

I don't know if this means top T5B episodes? but these are my faves, mostly for the chaotic vibes each brings. I love how Andrew sees the show as a competition lolll and Steven’s Skyline Chili choice became Watcher Lore, so it's #1
