I am reading all the insanity of Watchfield Friend and Noel and the demon and the tree and I think it’s obviously something Toby Fox read and is not the last time he has directly used a reference from an unknown Japanese book or game.
People just have short memory… another example is all the thing about the flavors of the teas is also directly taken from a book Toby read, and the only reason he has never shared this is probably because people would guess easier DR’s plot. He has never hidden that he is kinda unoriginal but I don’t think that’s something bad.
Deltarune still feels like its own story, and even if the details match up, that original story is very different and I feel that the book plot will be similar to the Snowgrave route or is part of what happened in the past. Noel is very likely parallel to Noelle, but still that book doesn’t have anything that parallels Kris, and Kris is fundamental to what happened to Dess.
The book looks cool I might look that one up and read it properly. If there is something interesting I will comment further.
