Aw I kind of like that even though Luz was tricked by her need to feel special she wasn't berated for it. Eda didn't laugh at her when it counted or tell her she wasn't anything special. Just encouraged finding the beautiful in the mundane. The garbage, even. It was commiserative, not punitive.

Episode 6 thoughts as I watch *Spoilers*

- Yoooo I think it’s really cool that they took the time to adjust things in the opening: Eda’s dress, King’s horns & Amity’s hair

- Did the Golden Guard just say.... Belos was his uncle?????

- Luz being like ‘maybe I just need more patience’ and proceeding to not be patient..... relatable

- Then her getting distracted by something cooler... very very relatable

- The principal’s look.... slay

- Willow being sweet and lowkey scary..... ye she can cut a bitch

- Luz having a bit of an existential crisis..... yep.... also I love it that they actually address those problems cause like? It was quite of a question of the whole magic and getting back to the human world stuff

- NOT AT THE GOLDEN GUARD WHISTLING THE OWL HOUSE’S THEME SONG????

Honestly this scene does break my heart.

Luz’s “Oh no, I’m going to be made fun off again“ is so.... sad to hear if you think about how much it actually affected her when she was an outsider at school in the human world but also in the Boiling Isles cause she is a human.

As someone who got bullied, this is so painfully relatable and sad to see :( But I’m also very happy for how it actually turned out for her... Luz deserves all the happiness.
