Yesterday I watched the first part of the Watchmen animated adaptation, which I'm going to call the Watchmen OVA. And as a profuse hater of watchmen... they did it, I finally liked wathcmen. I watched the whole thing beginning to end and I was actually engaged.
The comic was a slog and the movie was mediocre in my opinion but the animation actually feels interesting. Sure it still is a cynical deconstruction of superheroes which I hate but at least it's more stylish.
