Herbald- Flower Pot Pokémon

Ability- Sand Veil/Klutz/Water Absorb (Hidden)

Herbald naturally live in the same areas as Tangela. Compared to Tangela's long, flowing vines, poor Herbald feels insecure about its own dirt-covered head. They try to collect seeds and leaves to cover themselves up, hoping that some day plants will grow to cover their heads and make them look like Tangela. They are docile when captured and eager to hold beautiful flowers for humans, but most seeds planted in them will sadly die...

Toupéary- Overgrown Pokémon

Type- Ground/Grass

Ability- Flower Veil/Tangling Hair/Water Absorb (Hidden)

Evolves from Herbald when levelled up holding a Miracle Seed.

The Miracle Seed is the only seed known that is capable of growing inside Herbald's head, and it rapidly grows into a mess of vines and leaves. Toupéary is overjoyed, and the improvement in its overall disposition also seems to include its soil quality, allowing many other plants to thrive inside it. It still feels a bit insecure around Tangela, but the other Grass-types are happy to befriend it.

Jigglwiggl- Gelatin Pokémon

Type- Poison/Fairy

Ability- Effect Spore/Regenerator/Water Absorb (Hidden)

Jigglwiggl are soft-bodied, fungal Pokémon related to Morelull and Mushmettle that live under the sea. Though they taste sweet and resemble some desserts, don’t try to eat them! Their green tint comes from the spores that fill their body, which begin growing into new Jigglwiggl once ingested. In the wild, they get fish Pokémon to nibble on them in order to reproduce.

Type- Poison/Fairy

Ability- Effect Spore/Regenerator/Water Absorb (Hidden)

Evolves from Jigglwiggl at level 33.

Bogglwoggl’s squishy body is incapable of experiencing pain and it boasts incredible restorative abilities. This makes it a common target for predators, but it barely even notices- even if half its body mass is eaten, it can completely regrow in under a day. Its green flesh is bland and tasteless, but the small purple section is scrumptious, at least until you start vomiting out baby Jigglwiggl.

Alchemone- Chemical Pokémon

Type- Poison/Psychic

Ability- Water Absorb/Power of Alchemy/Tangling Hair (Hidden)

Alchemone live deep below the surface of the ocean, and bear some of the most toxic chemicals in the world. Each of their tentacles bears a different kind of toxin. Some paralyze, some explode when exposed to water, some slowly dissolve any matter they come in contact with, and some don’t have any ill effects but they make some neat colours.

The most interesting toxin, though, is a neurotoxin that increases neural activity. It flows throughout their system and drastically increases their intelligence, making them one of the smartest Pokémon, able to rival even Alakazam. They enjoy experimenting and mixing together their toxins, often with deadly results for any sea life in their immediate area. Researchers are trying to find a way to use this chemical on humans.

More absorbant polymer fun

Sodium polyacrylate can absorb roughly 300% of its own weight in a matter of seconds. In this gif, it absorbs the water poured into the glass and 'solidifies' it into a gel so that it can no longer be poured.

You can buy sodium polyacrylate relatively cheaply (perhaps as 'Waterlock')- it's even found in nappies (diapers).
