Tumbling Water - March 2022 I took this image primarily because of the interesting way in which the water tumbles down the side of the bridge and on downstream. At the same time, my wife took a picture of the bridge itself– image two– as the tram passed over it. She took her image because some of the people in the tram were fearful that we were going to go through water. I know that the “Turn around, don’t drown” campaigns have saved a lot of lives in floods, but it has also made people very afraid of low water bridges. A low water bridge such as this one, has pipes or channels under the roadway which will allow the normal low flow of water through. After a rain like Tucson had experienced the day before, the water flow is greater and some of it goes over, rather than under the low water bridge. Since low water bridges are normally rather short and usually the water is not flowing violently, it is safe to drive over the bridge. In this case there was barely a trickle of overflow water and the bridge had a stout stone curbing in case the tram lost traction and side-slipped. MWM

Nice place to end the afternoon.~ Had fun and got tired, stairs on a steep hill slope isn't the best place to run up competitively with your older brother.;;; But it was a really nice place to sit and relax.~ Gave me a nice place to cosplay Go Princess Precure sometime in the future.~ Just maybe find an alternate way to the top because I'm not climbing all the way up with heels again. 😥
