I recently went to the Blue Mountains and experienced this delightful walk down to the waterfall. Also great if you like swimming.

Over the Christmas break I went down to Nightcap National Park in Northern New South Wales, Australia.

This walk was an absolute delight, with comfortable temperature, clear skies with the sun streaming through the ancient rainforest.

Well worth the 60km drive from Mullumbimby to get there.

Note, there are a few kms of gravel road leading into the car park. There are also a few low lying bridges over the creeks with water spilling over, so best to avoid soon after or during heavy rain periods.

Natural Bridge is in the western part of Springbrook National Park, which is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. The picturesque rock arch was formed by the force of a waterfall over a basalt cave. During the day, spot paradise riflebirds, green catbirds, and rare frogs. At night, join a guided tour to see the resident colony of glow-worms and microbats. Easily accessible from the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road car park via a one-kilometer circuit walk.
